True Blood Sucks

I've been a fan of this show since I learned that Alan Ball was behind it and the first two seasons which stuck strongly to the storyline of the Charlaine Harris novels were exciting and entertaining but as a whole I think season 3 sucked! It was lack luster and boring compared to season two. The third season strayed from the third Charlaine Harris book to such a disappointing degree that they royal screwed themselves out of a great storyline that spread through the rest of the series. Vampire Jessica was hardly around and when she was her storyline was typical and predictable. Sam evolved from the dependable good guy to a real asshole with a killer past. Eric had some of the best moments this season but his ever changing hairstyle is distracting and conflicts with things they've said about vampires. His hair was long then short now it's short and nearly brown. Jason is the one character they just won't let us figure out because they keep throwing him into crazy situations where he reacts differently almost like he's got a multiple personality disorder! As for Sookie what happened to the polite and proper girl we saw in season one? With her ever growing bad attitude and new found love of curse words they put her over the edge by dumping Russel's lovers melted insides down the drain and thenhaving her laugh a hauntingly evil laugh that made me wonder how much farther down this road the writers are going to take her. Don't even get me started on the weak and forgive my using the term "retarded" way they are portraying her Fae heritage. The best actor coming out of this show by far is the actress Tara played by Rutina Wesly. She has been the silver lining through out the whole season and the one character the writers have evolved and even tortured in a way I can appreciate and enjoy watching. She is one hell of an actress that deserves an Emmy for this season. I was however heartbroken to see her cut all that beautiful hair off before she left town in the finale. Overall season 3 is not one I'll be watching again on dvd. I'll tune into season 4 out of curiosity and hope that it'll be better. Also the fact Sookie now knows the truth about Bill I'm really looking forward to season Eric and Sookie's relationship heat up! This season needed more Evan Rachel Wood!!! She's great as the vicious and sometimes vulnerable Queen Sophie Ann. An just to beat this old drum one more time I hate seeing Anna Paquin with blond hair! She was just so much prettier as a brunette and I don't think I'll ever really like her blond it just doesn't suit her!

My Favorite Emmy Pics

This is by far the best picture I've seen from the Emmy's/after parties! I love True Blood and least anyone forget the extremely entertaining Charlaine Harris books the show is based on and I've always thought Anna Paquin was just adorably quirky and cute but I really hate her as a blond, I know Sookie Stackhouse is a blond and all and Anna plays a perfect Sookie but she looks so much better as a brunette!!!
An even though her gold metallic studded dress was on a lot of worst dressed lists I actually really like it. She took a risk and went kinda glam warrior. I love it! Kelly Osbourne was the best dressed at the Emmy's in my opinion. I love both of her dresses, I love how even though she's lost some weight she's still playing up her curves and she looked adorable and beautiful in the black and white dresses.
Kim K and her botox face looked classy and elegant from the chin down, but Kelly steals the picture! She looks so good as a blond.Yay!!! Jim Parsons won an Emmy for being so super awesome on The Big Bang Theory... that is moving to Thursday nights! I love the show and it's in LARGE part to Sheldon Cooper!!!!! Congrats.

True Blood is BACK!

Since episode one they had me hooked! Season too was good even if it was out there and strayed from the books. Season three looks to be pulling from different books for differernt characters and it looks good. Can't wait and I don't have too it's finally here!!!!!!!!!
Tara gets with a bad vamp, Sookie goes searching for bill and gets closer to Eric and might even learn his big secret!!! Jason meets some werepanthers or maybe just a bunch of werewolves. Jessica and Hoyt are no more? :( It's all too much! But I can take it!

Alexander Skarsgard Jumps On The Model Rice Cake Wagon

Okay I realize my opinion may be influenced by jealousy but I really don't like this! Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood is dating Kate Bosworth and has been for some time but now that summer is here they have taken to parading their love all over the damn place! Forcing women and young girls everywhere that are not waifish thin and unnaturally blond to cry out... WHY???? Followed by Why can't I look like that? I find it depressing and typical for these vikings of men to be attracted to the thinnest, blondest and plainest of models once they become famous. When in reality then could be dating someone without the body of a pubescent boy! Maybe I'm going too far, I mean I liked Blue Crush when she was more than skin and bones and Wonderland was okay but really I just hate him being with anyone that's not Evan Rachel Wood... That being said they look bloody happy to be together :(
She better treat him well or actually don't... that way he can run back to ERW!

Dead Until Dark

A photo I took from under a highway by my old job. I just love graffiti! Below is a piece I did using metal pop tabs and safety pins. My new work still needs to be put up on my deviantart.com page and then I'll have more to show.
Going to Metamora Indiana tomorrow for their annual Canal Days celebration. I'm broke and jobless so It's mostly going to be a big tease but hopefully I get some good photos out of it if it's not to crowded. I've also been reading, reading, reading day in and day out this past week. I got a Sookie Stackhouse book box set with the first 7 books and I've been reading non-stop and now they're all finished :( and I'm having some serious cravings to get the last two books but I'll have to wait. Seriously they are awesome, fangtasticly addictive books! I think it's safe to say they are even more addicting than the Twilight Saga books and the Harry Potter series! Yes they are THAT good!

The Queen Has Arrived

Okay so I finally got around to watching the new episode of True Blood, "Frenzy" and while the episode in general did not disappoint I was a little disappointed with the storyline and dialog written for Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-Anne. I mean come on, you have a major talent on your hands and all you can do with her is give her a character that's a total cliche? The cussing and sexual innuendos sounded more like a unevolved teenage girl than an unevolved vampire queen. I expected a little more class. Woods performance in general was great and her acting ability certainly made her scenes genuine enough but ultimately I think it was the writers that failed her character and the fans! I did like the twist with her lover being Sookies cousin, which was actually quiet clever and I thought the Yahtzee game thing was just hilarious. Still they could have gone deeper and developed her character more, hopefully in the third season they'll find the time to do that. The episode as a whole was great and the cliff hangers as usual have me beyond anxious for the finale but If I know True Blood then I really don't see a hell of a lot of closure in the next episode, which means in two weeks all us True Blood fans might be faced with the biggest and baddest cliff hanger yet! Ahh if onlt our emotions did work like this ^

New Music In My View

I don't consider myself a music expert but I'm secure enough in my own taste to know the difference between unusual music that's ahead of it's time and just plain bad music. Obviously people disagree because one of the worst songs to come out in the last few years is the #1 song in not only America but the UK as well. You may have heard the song by the Black Eyed Peas on the radio shortly before you (hopefully to save yourself) changed the station called "I gotta (BAD) Feeling". It's horrendous like a tie die shirt design of vomit and fecal matter. I can not believe people like this song! It's like when the taco bell dog movie was number one at the box office! An now it's spreading faster than H1N1 to other countries. I just pray there is a cure for all those infected before it's too late!
Moving on to better, albeit unusual music that I feel is way more emotional and creative...
You will fall in love with them, Blitzen Trapper are the real deal!

Another lovely Kings of Leon song:

Free Energy... <3>

Lightning Dust... It was hard to pick just one to share with you! Ultimately this one won it's so subtle and soothing like a warm bath you just melt into the music!

I could go on and on with the music I'm loving and listening to right now but sometimes too much of a good thing all at once can be overwhelming so I'll leave you with this: http://www.last.fm/music/King+Britt/_/New+World+In+My+View+%28Album+Version%29?autostart a link to hear the full song for free that I couldn't find on YouTube or google, that was featured at the end of the latest true blood episode called New World In My View by King Britt... it's beautiful!

Spilling True Blood

Season two has been so bad ass and keeps getting better and better! I love and hate the cliffhangers every week, they leave me wanting so much more but it makes 7 days feel like torture! Evan Rachel Wood joined the cast, woo hoo! My favorite characters on the show are Tara, I'm so happy her character is evolving into a less stereotypical role and that she's finding temporary happiness.
Lafayette not sure about the spelling but his character is SO awesome and boy can he act!
Jason, who is beyond adorable and I just think it's such a riot that of all the charcters on the show he's the one that's been "Saved" And finally Jessica! When she was acting a spoiled mess I loved to hate her but now that we've seen her softer side I love to love her! She's one of only a few new cast member that I'd like to see on the show forever! I just love Hoyt too he's an undercover hottie!
Sookie's character in general tends to annoy me but I think Anna Paquin is great on the show I can't wait for her to dump boring old bill for Eric. She looks so different with blond hair but I think she looks better brunette...

I've Died and Gone To Heaven

I've been addicted to true blood for some time now, I saw the first episode when it first aired and then didn't see the rest of the season till around the time the finale aired. Since then I've seen all of season one twice now and the second season is only getting bigger and better, with the cliff hangers leaving me more and more on the edge of my seat. Then today I got on ew.com to check out some comic-con links and I discovered that my favorite actress and girl crush Evan Rachel Wood was joining the cast for at least two episodes and I almost died and went to heaven from my excitement, it's like taking two of my favorite things and mixing them together so perfectly it doesn't seem real. I love that Evan is consistently choosing interesting and creative acting projects, you just don't know what this girl will do next... all you know is it's bound to be brilliant. Alan Ball the True Blood creator has me as a fan for life due to his other creation that IS the best show in the history of Dramatic Television: Six Feet Under. To this day I feel it is the only show that has ever ended in a significant way that gave it's dedicated audience a proper burial so to speak. I related more so than I care to mention with the character of Claire Fisher and the show will forever hold a place in my heart. Okay back to True Blood, Alan Ball is a genius and him casting Evan Rachel Wood on the show proves it. It's going to be absolute torture having to wait each week until her debut on the show and lord knows what I'll do when the seasons over. All I know is this is the best news I've gotten since I found out my diploma was in the mail!
These are some beautiful shots of Evan form what I believe is Blackbook magazines August 2009 cover shoot with the 21 year old starlet. I for one love her Gothic princess look, and think she is the only actress working today that I can say I loved every movie she's ever made, excluding Little Secrets but lets be honest it still wasn't that bad. I also read in the article that she loves Edgar Allen Poe and has a verse of his tattooed on her back. All the more reason to bow down to the best actress of my generation!
