The Constellations

I mad as hell right now! Last week thanks to my favorite music website indierockcafe.com I was turned onto this band The Constellations and they're so fucking awesome it physically hurts to acknowledged that in February of this year they performed in Covington Kentucky which is my area man I live in Cincinnati but Covington is like one of Cincinnati's playgrounds and shit man I didn't even know about them then and I missed them being so close. How often does a band I like get that close to me where I could freaking walk and bus it to their show... NEVER! They better come back or I'll be crushed!

Jay Malinowski Solo Project

Jay Malinowski is his name and sexy sadness is his game! The magic behind Bedouin Soundclash has his own solo album out now which is just fucking too brilliant for words really. It's sexy sadness... that the nest way I can describe it anyway. So have a listen:

Above is the first offical video and single off the album with cirque de pirie or some shit, anyway the girl is really hot too and they might be dating who knows but her music is really pretty too even if you don't speak or understand french you can at least tell it's pretty easy on the ears!

Above is a picture of the band Bedouin Soundclash and below are my two favortie songs they made together. I'm not sure if the dude on the left is still in the band though.

See how pretty he is!!! & while his voice is full of imperfections it's what makes him so sound so good! It's real and raw and has this sexy ruffness about it. Ahh Good music!

Woodhands

Great band and it just so happens that they remind me of flight of the conchords so that's a plus

The XX

The best Florence & The Machine cover evah! (The only good one really!)

They even do an awesome Aaliyah cover!

The National - High Violet

The music really makes you melt into your own thoughts, just imagine walking down the street listening to this on head phones and the music makes the whole world seem different it makes it seem... realer than real?

The whole album is brilliant!

Violent Soho Sex

They might have been around for a few years and while I wish I could say I've been a fan since the beginning but I only got introduced to their music this year. I am a fan now and after looking through some old and new pics and watching their live performances on YouTube.
One thing is for sure they have gotten much hotter!
& their music and performances has gotten better! I can't wait till they blow up and soon enough they will because music this good doesn't go unnoticed for long!

Music Industry Exposed: Lil Wayne is he IN or OUT?

Now it's hard to say cause only a few really know but sometimes it seems like Lil Wayne is in on this whole Illuminati thing. A lot of singers and rappers and big time shakers and movers in the entertainment industry are and well Lil Waynes music and lyrics suggest he's involved. On the other hand you have Lil Wayne releasing a lot of music that seems to half hiddenly express his battle with it. His battle between what he'd done to get where he's at and what he's sacrafised. I think he's still in the game playing along but he's also trying to spread the word and leaking things out about what's going on. His rock album rebirth is far from his roots and his lyrics express a heavy battle between good and evil and the grey inbetween.
At times it's hard to know where he lies but with him being in jail now on some gun possesion charges I can't help but be reminded of DMX and other rap and hip hop artist that were sent to jail after they changed the direction of their music from negative to positive. Above is the first of a series of videos about the music industry exposed It gets to DMX at about the 5 video. very interesting and you'll be surprised how much it will make you aware of!
.

Above and Below are videos off of Lil Waynes album Rebirth. I suggest you watch the video and really pay attention to the lyrics to get a good idea what he is talking about and the symbolism used. You get the feeling that lil wayne is warning us... what do u think he's warning us about?

Breaking Crowns

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheCrownsMusic

So I was just sent a youtube link from the band to check out their videos and outta the 3 they have up this one is their "crown" jewel so to speak. The video in itself is an inspiring, hipster delight. It's also the song with the most unique sound, the lyrics are nothing to write home about but all in all I really like this band and this song is Amazing. Plus the video is just beyond!

Bon Iver, I Love You

The first time I heard a Bon Iver song I though hmm... okay different but pretty cool. Yet it didn't quite sink in until a month or two later when I herd Ellie Gouldings cover of Wolves and then I downloaded the original Bon Iver (Real name Justin Vernon) version. It's the kind of music your soul has to be ready and in the mood for. It's so blissful and painful and soothing. Ah I just love the music, it's not just the voice... it's the chords and the lyrics and all of it put together that make the whole album seem like on united collection, like a book written in music notes and each song is a different chapter in the same story. Wolves, Skinny Love, Blood Bank, For Emma and Lump Sum are my top 5 favorites but every song of his is locked into my mp3! You might not be ready for him yet but when you are this album will feel like a piece of you you'd lost and it will metaphorically fill your heart!

The Only Exception

I've been awfully sick the last two weeks not doing much more than reading, listening to music, sketching and trying to break through time. I like to blog about things that interest me and to share cool photos I find and artist that inspire me and most my findings come from some corner of the Internet and I just haven't had much taste to get on the computer recently. Hopefully my sudden late night burst of energy spills into the rest of this month.
Is there anything more splendid and euphoric than music? It's a wonderful way to channel your energy and thoughts and get something back in return. I've mentioned my enthusiasm for the new Gossip album but I've been taken over by another girl fronted indie rock bands new album and it blows the competition right out of the water!

I'm speaking of Brand New Eyes by Paramore. They had me at "Here we go again" but it was more of a kindred spirit type love but from the first listen of their new album I can't help but describe it as true love at first er listen! The songs go deeper and indie-er than the first single Ignorance which is actually my least favorite song on the album. And the lyrics speak to a wider more inhibited audience and well I'm just a sucker for an anti-love song that speaks to what every cold empty hearted soul keeps locked up... that we all hope to find that one exception to everything we know to be painfully heartlessly true! An Paramore delivers it all track after track :) an they are just getting started! Listen to a few of my favorite track of Brand New Eyes

I'll stop at five but seriously this album is the best work they've ever put out and I'm thrilled!

My dreaded birthday is vastly approaching like that skittles or M&M commercial where that guy eats out of his friends hour glass speeding up his ageing progress lol and well It's making me want to be young and careless all over again I had blue height lights once and I'm think I'd like to do all of my hair a crazy color like teal or violet my hair is just so long and well I'm a natural brunette so It's not gonna be easy and I'll probably chicken out cause there is nothing worse that having your sweet old grandparents look at you like they brought the wrong kids home from the circus ya know? Ehh... Idk, I'm almost 21 and I remember turning 16 like it was yesterday. My birthday in general always sucks and I have other reasons to hate the week of my birthday but this whole rapid ageing thing really makes me want to do away with birthdays all together!
I'll leave you with my favorite artist of the moment Joshua Petker this piece is called I Don't Love Anyone

New Music In My View

I don't consider myself a music expert but I'm secure enough in my own taste to know the difference between unusual music that's ahead of it's time and just plain bad music. Obviously people disagree because one of the worst songs to come out in the last few years is the #1 song in not only America but the UK as well. You may have heard the song by the Black Eyed Peas on the radio shortly before you (hopefully to save yourself) changed the station called "I gotta (BAD) Feeling". It's horrendous like a tie die shirt design of vomit and fecal matter. I can not believe people like this song! It's like when the taco bell dog movie was number one at the box office! An now it's spreading faster than H1N1 to other countries. I just pray there is a cure for all those infected before it's too late!
Moving on to better, albeit unusual music that I feel is way more emotional and creative...
You will fall in love with them, Blitzen Trapper are the real deal!

Another lovely Kings of Leon song:

Free Energy... <3>

Lightning Dust... It was hard to pick just one to share with you! Ultimately this one won it's so subtle and soothing like a warm bath you just melt into the music!

I could go on and on with the music I'm loving and listening to right now but sometimes too much of a good thing all at once can be overwhelming so I'll leave you with this: http://www.last.fm/music/King+Britt/_/New+World+In+My+View+%28Album+Version%29?autostart a link to hear the full song for free that I couldn't find on YouTube or google, that was featured at the end of the latest true blood episode called New World In My View by King Britt... it's beautiful!

Ghosts That Broke My Heart

The link below is for the original music video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-vbyIkkHiQ

Ghosts - Laura Marling

He walked down a busy street
Staring solely at his feet
Clutching pictures of past lovers at his side
Stood at the table where she sat
And removed his hat
In respect of her presence
Presents her with the pictures and says
These are just ghosts that broke my heart before I met you
These are just ghosts that broke my heart before I met you

Opened up his little heart
Unlocked the lock that kept it dark
And read a written warning
Saying I'm still mourning
Over ghosts
Over ghosts that broke my heart before I met you
Lover, please do not
Fall to your knees
It's not
Like I believe in
Everlasting love

He went crazy at nineteen
Said he'd lost all his self esteem
And couldn't understand why he was crying
He would stare at empty chairs
Think of the ghosts that once sat there
The ghosts that broke his heart
Oh the ghosts that broke my heart
The ghosts the ghosts the ghosts the ghosts the ghosts the ghosts
The ghosts that broke my heart before I met you

Lover, please do not
Fall to your knees
It's not
Like I believe in
Everlasting love
He says I'm so lost
Not at all well

Do as done there is nothing left to be
Turned out I'd been following him and he'd been following me
Do as though after it was over
We were just two lovers crying on each others shoulders
And I said
Lover, please do not
Fall to your knees
It's not
Like I believe in
Everlasting love

A few other songs by Laura Marling:

I simply adore and admire the lovely Laura Marling!

For The Love of Skins

Skins if you don't know is not just a wicked nick name for a contraceptive! It also happens to be the best damn show about teenagers on television (My so-called life would be the best no longer on air!) It airs in the UK and I've read that they might air an edited (lame ass) version in the US on ABC or something, don't bother to watch that though as it's likely to mutilate a great hour long program into maybe 30 minutes though some episodes will be cut down to around 10 minutes I imagine once they censor it! I'm ranting so any way... I recommend if your 16-24 years old to watch this show. It's realistic, masochistic, teens at their best and worst! It's highly entertaining and one should start with the first season for obvious reason and also because almost the entire cast gets replaced after the second season and as much as I LOVE the show the third season was not the best, the characters are awesome but the storyline lags in places! So I suggest watch the first two and by then you'll be so addicted and wanting more that the third season will still have you hooked. My favorite characters (of the first two seasons) are Cassie (now you know where I get my lovely and wow from lol) Sid (at first he will repulse and then he will attract you!) and Effy. (Because she's so beautiful and mysterious not to mention screwed up)[like so many of us] The show is one of my obsessions and you'd be lucky for it to become yours! This link is the best montage of the show ever, the douche who made it won't let me embed the code so... Oh and don't let the DJ fool you this video is off the chain! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iWsXkxiyCc

This clip is lovely, mike bailey... I love you... a little bit!

Hearts Supporting Lace

Today's been a slow lazy day full of non-productivity and surfing the net for cool pictures and Chelsea Handler comedy clips. I've started a new blog as well which you can find on my profile which will mostly consist of cool themed photos I find on the web. My first theme was "Heart Shaped Glasses" These were my two favorite pairs/photos of the bunch:
I really love the pair above and the ones Lily Allen is rocking bellow

~One of my Favourite songs by the lovely Lily Allen~

On a little side note; how freaking cute are Kelly Osbourne and her fiance Luke?!!

Bellow we have an old photo of Zooey Deschanel, always the stylish vintage shopper, I love the adorable pink ribbon in her hair gives the look a very young girly vibe!

Some really cool art, don't know who the artist is but I'd love to know how this painting came about! Nothing like a little tie dye alien art to inspire an artist! Fo Rizzle
