The Edgy Mermaid

I'm loving Taylor Momsens style these days, a very original rock n roll mermaid!
Okay I admit sometimes I watch the new 90210, and yes I watched the new season premier last night and I can't wait for little Annie to evolve into the bad girl we all hate to love cause aside from Silver the other girls on the show are boring! Any who Shenae Grimes looks beyond gorgeous in this above pic!
An the Lovely Kelly Osbourn looks nearly flawless in this dress my only peeve is her hair! It looks like she needed a new Dye job months ago. Dye those roots please!

Six Feet Under

My all time favorite show will always and forever be Six Feet Under. I've watched the majority of the episodes before but I've only just got around to buying the seasons on DVD for my personal collection. I just got my Season 2 DVD box set in the mail today and I'm already two episodes in. The show is a depressive paradox of life and death. I could go on and on but I won't It's to personal and too complicated. It is simply a one of a kind dramedy that's stole my heart.My two favorite charcters are Michael C. Hall &Lauren Ambrose my long lost twin!

She Let Me Go

I Couldn't Find A Golf Club...

Well I just watched the Weeds season finale and I couldn't be happier! Shane who has been moving up my list of actors to watch is pretty much the best part of the show. Aside from Andy and I will admit Celia cracks me up but this season has been a little on the boring side that is until the last 5 minutes of the finale! ~SPOILER~ I was not expecting for Pillar to actually go so far as to threaten to kill Nancy's kids and I never would have predicted what came next but I'm so glad it did! When Shane knocked Pillar in the head with the croquet mallet I could help but smile darkly to myself. Sure Shane has officially gone over the deep end but that look on his face afterwords was priceless! I can't Wait for next season to see how Alexander Gould's character Shane evolves on the show! He's almost all grown up now but I remember when he was just the weird kid that licked his own blood how he's stone cold killer who weapon of choice is a golf club... unless a croquet mallet is handy!

Gardens Of The Night

I can't really find the right words to describe just how powerful this movie is. It's a sad, sorrowful movie about a little girl named Leslie who gets manipulated into believing that her parents don't want her anymore and that her father has placed her in the care of two of his employees. When in truth Leslie had been kidnapped by two perverse males that run a child sex slave operation. One important part of this film is that it's very soft-core in that it doesn't exploit the child actors or show the abuse so much as it suggests it. Too many movies today show violence and sex crimes in a graphic way on screen for shock effect. The story goes on to explain a web of lies being set up around the main character whist she is unaware or and possibly too damaged to except the truth of whats really happened to her. At the hands of her captors is another child a boy named Donny who is subjected to the same torture and fate as Leslie and they form a strong emotional bond that numbs them to the reality they live in while they pretend to be characters from The Jungle Book as a way to cope and escape their life. As the story progresses you see them go from children to teens that are now on their own living on the street as prostitutes, when Leslie is offered an opportunity to move up into a prostitution ring that will take care of her. However there is a catch. Leslie has to befriend a homeless 12 year old girl living in a shelter and then turn her out into a child sex slave using the same manipulating tactics used on her when she was a child. It's a movie that left me shattered emotionally but also numb in a way. We all know that evil exists and that it's out there in the world. Sometimes we feel it or see it's shadow but I for one have never truly been touched by it. It made all my pain and what I've been trough seem like a Disney theme park. Because once someone has really been touched or even taken by evil it changes you forever. The world we live in more often than not is full of vibrant color but when real evil finds you it's like the world switches over to black and white. An the longer you survive it or live in it the wider the gap between the two and you gets. I hope to never fully understand and experience that truth first hand. Most of us have no idea just how lucky we are. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. If you have children in particular or plan to have kids this a great almost educational movie in a way because it shows you a side to the world you would rather not think about and it can also show you what to look out for and teach you to defend oneself against it. All the actors were amazing. It's a heartbreaking movie but a good one.

The Queen Has Arrived

Okay so I finally got around to watching the new episode of True Blood, "Frenzy" and while the episode in general did not disappoint I was a little disappointed with the storyline and dialog written for Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-Anne. I mean come on, you have a major talent on your hands and all you can do with her is give her a character that's a total cliche? The cussing and sexual innuendos sounded more like a unevolved teenage girl than an unevolved vampire queen. I expected a little more class. Woods performance in general was great and her acting ability certainly made her scenes genuine enough but ultimately I think it was the writers that failed her character and the fans! I did like the twist with her lover being Sookies cousin, which was actually quiet clever and I thought the Yahtzee game thing was just hilarious. Still they could have gone deeper and developed her character more, hopefully in the third season they'll find the time to do that. The episode as a whole was great and the cliff hangers as usual have me beyond anxious for the finale but If I know True Blood then I really don't see a hell of a lot of closure in the next episode, which means in two weeks all us True Blood fans might be faced with the biggest and baddest cliff hanger yet! Ahh if onlt our emotions did work like this ^

The Professional

The Professional or Leon is one of my favorite movies and has been since before I could even spell professional and coming from someone who's favorite movie as a child was Terminator 2 Judgement day it's really not that weird. Natalie's character in the film seems wise yet wounded beyond her years and It's my second favorite movie of hers, after of course Closer:

Which is the only movie I can tolerate Jude Law in. Clive Owen on the other hand is rancid with perfection in the movie and the story in it's self is one everyone can relate to. But back to Leon... If you haven't seen it you must! If you have then you should watch it again because it's one of those movies that stays with you, not in some profound way but it does have it's moments.

Riverboat Birthday

So the 23rd was my mothers birthday and I took her on a BB Riverboat dinner cruise on the Ohio river. It's was a really cool experience I must say! We had a less than desirable dinner but my mom liked it enough and the highlight was really the amazing view and boat ride. I ran out of batteries about an hour in so thankfully the gift shop sold them and I was able to get these amazing twilight pictures! It was so beautiful there in the moment and alas these photos don't quite capture the simple beauty of that night! I also got my mom a keyboard that you can plug headphones into lol so I think she had a nice quiet birthday compared to last year. My objective is to give her a simple, quiet birthday every other year and in between those years throw her a big, loud, embarrassing party. So next year she better watch out ;)
