I am so stunned and In complete and total awe at the art done by Iemza & Gilbert1! I wish I knew more about them because they are my new favorite artist and they have already inspired and influenced my own art. I love all kinds of art and am amazed and intimidated by the hundreds of artist I've discovered that are so lovely and creative. Out of them all Joshua Petker remains my favorite! Something about the way the emotionally charged colors and realistic female portraits come off realistically abstract, just has won me over time and time again. He got such a unique style. Each piece is haunting and mesmerizing. I've mentioned him before and I'll mention him again, cause Joshua Petker is freaking awesome!
For me each piece of art by Marie Kavadias haunts you with different emotions from different angels. Her style crawls from paintings to sketches to sculptures taunting and invading your subconscious. It's mysterious and familiar all at the same time. I love art that makes you think not particularly about something serious or even relevant to the work. Art that stirs something inside you and sets off little firecrackers of emotion. That's why Marie Kavadias is my favorite artist of the month for June 2010.
