Hmm... so I updated my account with whatever new upgrade they recommended and now there is a little pop up when I go to upload a photo that says "Only select images that you have confirmed that you have the license to use." & I'm pretty pissed off because that's just bullshit. It's not like I'm making a profit off of this blog or anything so why can't I post images I find online at popular search engines like bing or google and other public websites? I need a license to add a photo to a free blog that has 11 followers... really? Well Fuuuucccckk that :)

I created this blog for fun because I wanted to write about the art, music, movies and miscellaneous life filler that interests me. I started out just putting mass photos up that I found on deviant art that I thought were cool and every once in a while I'd post about something personal. Since then I've evolved to include my opinion more and I started tracking down the artist and linking to websites that host and created the images and artwork. This is a form of free speech, I'm not claiming to own any of these photos, I'm just showcasing them on a little seen blog.

So I'm going to keep on doing my thing and post photos I think are amazing that I find online. If I can find the source, as in the actual photographer or actual artist then I'll continue to link to their website. This is to encourage people to get involved in art and to appreciate art. So these new "rules" can suck it!

Often times I'll stumble upon just one photo of someones artwork and I'll trace it back to the source that opens my world up to more amazing artists. It lets you keep track of the photos you like and follow the people that post best photos. yayeveryday.com One look at this website and you will understand why I love it. I'm a visual person and on the homepage alone there are so many amazing pieces of art and photography and fashion that you want to click on 10 things at once. This is a website that's a huge source of inspiration to me as it connects me with beautiful things I wouldn't see anywhere else. trendland.net Trendland is all about fabulous forms of art. The illustrations and photography they feature showcase some of the most beautiful and emotional art I've ever come across. The whole website is focused on interesting forms of art and expression. This is another website I go to when I'm looking for new inspiration and I want to be swept away into someone else's vision of the world. This website showcases so many creative artist and photographers it's insane. I've come across many posts that lead me to artists that soon became my favorites because of this website and I can always find something here that I want to share on my blog.recycleart.org They don't post as much as I'd like but they give me great ideas for art projects and they feature some really unique art and artist that I'd never come across anywhere else. bristol-street-art.co.uk I love me some graffiti and this is my favorite website dedicated to street art. So this was a taste of my favorite art websites. These are places where I find most of the pictures and artwork I post on here to share with whom ever stumbles upon it. I don't always link to ever source every time as I like to link the viewer directly to that artists website so that they can get more fans and inspire more people. Yet without these websites myself and a vast amount of other people would never come across half the beautiful images we've seen!

Martin Millar Books

I loved Ruby & The Stone Age Diet, it was wild and off the wall. I didn't enjoy Lux the Poet as much but it was still a really unusual read. There were just so many characters to follow, some were interesting others were boring and it lost my interest at times. He's still an amazing author with a very different style. I would recommend reading them both though, I just liked the top one more. I'm planning on reading more by him too cause Martin Millar creates such a realistic and sometimes insane world for his kooky characters, that it's hard to go back to reading regular styled books.

Now I think this house is pretty cool considering it looks like the oldest house ever but it's probably brand new and was just made to look old ha ha or not. I can see this house crumbling under a few kinds trying to play hide and seek inside.If I was one of the raised with wolves types then this nature made root hut would seem pretty cozy. You would think the bed on the water would be kinda cool but in reality waking up to hundreds of mosquitoes swarming you under Victorian lace, doesn't sound that awesome after all. weheartit.com

Artist Of The Month: Beatrice Boyle

In case you haven't notice I'm a sucker for dark and twisted portraits. Which is a little odd because I don't do portraits myself but maybe that's why I'm obsessed with them and the artist that create them. Beatrice Boyle creates the epitome of the kind of art that moves me. It's very tortured and the lines of reality and perception are very blurred in her work. Every one of her illustrations is like a punch in the stomach or a slap in the face... emotionally that is. That's what I love, this is art that makes you feel. It makes me wonder about these girls and how the artist came to showcase these different emotions with each of them. Is it a glimpse into their souls or the artist's soul? Perhaps a bit of both.

Rooms That Make Me Jealous

What a magical look and feel this room has. It makes me think of the tents I used to make with my moms linens when I was a kid. Only these picture make it look so much more fabulous. I would love to live in a place like this, all soft candle light and fluffy pillows. It'd be like living on top of a birthday cake!While I could do with less pink, I love all the cool ideas in this above picture. I love the tree design at the head of the bed and the cool quote on the wall. I'm a sucker for lights being used inside like this but adding them with this do it yourself style canopy bed takes it to a whole new level of awesome. Books. Books. Books. I'm a super nerd when it comes to them and I'm very attached to my personal collection even though I have no where near enough to fill a wall this size but I think it's adorable how this photo uses homemade latter of all sizes to give a kind of optical illusion to the viewer to make it seem like the shelves are bigger than they are. To think a few twigs and some hot glue could transport a few simple bookshelves into a seemingly vast and magical wall of books is amazing. I'm so going to steal this idea and adapt it into my room.
I love me a big kitchen, especially since I have such a tiny one. I like this kitchen cause of the warm colors and open space. The beautiful colored marble counter tops along with all that cabinet space. Plus at least two islands to prep your food on. I'm seriously jealous of this kitchen!Another cool picture of someones den/library. Hell I would make this my bedroom if I could. I like the idea of color coding the books but mostly that couch looks so inviting. Like it would be the most perfect spot to snuggle up and read a book.

Somersault Movie Review

I absolutely loved this movie. It's not a happy, energetic, feel good movie. It's a sad, coming of age story about a runaway who's trying to get her life together. This movie was very timid at times but it's also very deep. I'd seen Abbie Cornish in a few other movies like Candy and Stop Loss but I never really thought much of her. That is until I saw this movie which was one of the first films she was ever in and I kinda fell in love with her. She acts with her whole body and her eyes really do pull you in and emote so much. She would have made an incredible silent movie actress. Lucky for us those days are over and we get a whole lot more. This is an Australian film, and as someone who hasn't really seen many (if any) movies that were made in Australia with an Australian casts, I was pleasantly surprised. My only qualm is that the movie could have done with a lot less nudity and still had the same calm before and after the storm feel to it. None the less it's a beautiful movie along the lines of the British film Fish Tank.I loved the colors in this film. The cinematography was brilliant. The way the two main characters would look through goggles and pieces of glass made you feel like they really wanted to see the world differently, to be different. Some scenes were so pale and cold while others would be so warm and almost electric. The colors and backgrounds of this movie are really beautiful and add tremendously to the raw feel of this movie. I highly recommend you see this if you get the chance.

More (Mostly) Vegetarian Meals

I love vegetables. All kinds but especially in my favorite cayenne, kick-o-man sauce. I like them with noodles, rice or just extra veggies! Egg Rolls. Yummy veggie egg rolls. Easy to make and way too easy to eat! Vegetable soup, now I must confess I put cutup chicken breasts in this but only a little. The colors while it was cooking were so beautiful. The spinach and red onion look perfect together.
It came out so delicious and it made so much that in addition to eating it for two days I filled two big containers of it up and froze it. Homemade spinach, mushroom and tomato pizza with Alfredo sauce. I could eat this every night if I didn't have a dozens of recipes I could live on.

Garlic. It's my favorite spice and additive, whatever. I add it to just about everything. My second favorite spice is cayenne pepper. Third is regular black pepper. Fourth is Rosemary & fifth is Cinnamon.Homemade granola. I make it for my mom all the time and there are dozens maybe even hundreds of different ways to make it. I like to use Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, for this one I used the kind with strawberries. I also use oatmeal, flax seed among lots of other things. It's the best granola you've ever had.Spinach stuffed pasta shells. I prefer them with Alfredo sauce but they're good with regular pasta sauce too. I bought some frozen ones and loved them so I decided to make my own homemade ones which were so much better.
15 Bean and veggie chili. I hate beans of all kinds except the green beans so who knows what possessed me to put a bag of soup beans in my chili all I know is for some crazy reason it was so yummy and delicious it's not the only way I can eat beans! This is before I added all the water and cooked it down.Then you have a traditional salad. Works ever time.

Great Read: Dark Lover

I've known about this series for a very long time but I never picked it up cause I tend to like my vampire stories to come from Anne Rice but In my ever changing hunt for good books to read I finally decided to give this series a try and I just finished the first book today. The first half of the book was pretty good, not great but still pretty interesting but half way through it got titillatingly good. I couldn't wait to get to the next page and the next page. By the end of the book I was already planning my trip to the library to get the next two! The characters are beyond interesting and I have a feeling that this first book is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of great characters and great story lines. I'm already addicted to this series. Very good book to read and a great series to sink your teeth into.

Good Read: Song of the Sparrow

This was a really good book that I almost didn't even read because I didn't like the cover. I'm so glad I picked it up and started reading it. It's a really wonderful book that's a sort or re-imagining of the story of King Arthur only it's about Elaine of Ascolat and it's a magical realistic fantasy world! I even ended up loving the cover which in my imagination is a picture of Elaine and her simple beauty. Very good and unusual read!

What's Become Of Dominique Swain?

She's an amazing actress, beautiful and she's been in a lot of great movies but it's been years since I've read about her or seen her in something new. I wonder if she's got any new movies coming out? Someone needs to give her a good role. Every time I see a picture of Amber Heard or read something about her I think of Dominique Swain. I guess cause they look similar but I just think why would someone hire her for a role when they could Dominique Swain? I think the last big movie she was in was Alpha Dog. Well here is to hoping that she gets back in the spotlight soon cause she's too good an actress to fade into oblivion! I personally love her in Girl, Intern & Lolita.

Better Late Than Never

I've had this photo set aside for awhile because I hate valentines day. Single or Coupled this "holiday" is full of artificial flavor and unwanted pressure. So I had planned on posting this photo here and on twitter to express my true feelings for this non-holiday. Until I ended up having a really awesome day. I was surprised with my favorite chocolates and went shopping for some new crystals and stones. It was a good day, mostly free of cliches with little mention of the candy coated heart themed consumerism day! So if you treat february 14th like just an average day you might be surprised by how awesome it can be!

Evan Rachel Wood In Cincinnati

For a while now it's been big news around town that George Cloony was shooting scenes from his new movie Ides Of March in Cincinnati, Ohio particularly at Fountain Square downtown. Until today I hadn't really thought much of it until I came across these photos of Evan Rachel Wood! I was so excited to learn that she was in the movie and thus the area that when I learned they were most likely done filming in my area and had moved on to filming at Miami University I became really bummed out. I would have loved the opportunity to stalk Evan around Cincinnati! Seriously I adore her, she's my favorite actress and just an all around interesting person. Maybe another opportunity to meet her will present itself but most likely not!
Anyway she looks lovely and happy in these pics, back to rocking traditional blond locks and smiling around the super hot Ryan Gosling. One things for sure she's provided the interest I needed to follow the making of this movie!

Tortured With Tofu

I really tried to make a deliciously seasoned stir fry with tofu as you can see from the picture above. Sadly it was not humanly possible. While the finished product looks edible (below) it was the most disgusting, slimy, inedible food I've ever tried! The texture of it, the taste of the inside ugggh. It's like easting a thick chunk of worm or something equally slimy and gross. No tofu for me on my quest towards vegetarianism. Sorry folks but when it comes to non meat, meat substitutes tofu is NOT the way to go! This was my first taste of true horror since I started to ween myself off meat and thankfully I tried other meat substitutes before tofu or I would have been scared right back into the arms raw cooked flesh!

Ignacio Canales Aracil Sculpts The Fragility Of Time

This is just amazing! It's so beautiful but it also reminds me of those Rorschach inkblot tests in that I see weird images at different angels of this hand woven flower sculpture created by Ignacio Canales Aracil in what he calls The fragility Of Time 1 and 2. Current Book Obsession: The Demonata Series

I've been spending most of my time this month reading. It's cold and boring during these winter months but it's a great time to curl up in a comfy spot and go somewhere else in the form of a really good book! I'd just finished Charlaine Harris, Harper Connelly series (Overall it was pretty good, not near as interesting as the Sookie Stackhouse series but they made for good, quick reads. The last two book in the series are the best!) and I was looking for another series to get into that would really... rock my world? Anyway last year I read the entire Cirque Du Freak series and LOVED it! It's was great series that I went through super quick and that really made my imagination do back flips it was so detailed and fantastical. So I looked into the author Darren Shan and found another series of his that's only 10 books called The Demonata Series (Picture of those books is above, the below pic is of all the cirque du freak books.) Now this series is way more bloody and definitely falls into a horror category but It's also kind of science fiction in that it's mostly about other universes and realities that exist around our own world and the demons and people that control them and about the stories of unique people who try to fight these demons to protect earth and themselves by traveling through these other universes in search of weapon that can either destroy earth or all the demon universes.

It's very twisted and complicated plot that weaves back and forth between different characters and different points in time but it's amazing! I'm only half way through the third book and I'm hovering on the edge of my seat to see what happens next, and next... I'm 22 and this series is supposed to be for kids and young adults but I really wouldn't want a little kid to read this one cause it's all blood, guts and demons and two I'm not sure they would be able to really follow it. Whatever the case I find this series to be very interesting and appealing to people of all ages that like fantasy, mystery, science fiction or horror genres. So If your looking a for a few good reads these would definitely fit the bill!

F*ck My Rusty Sheriffs Badge

One of my new favorite shows is Californication thanks to being able to order dvds from the library and while It sucks how short the episodes are and how short the season is, it's worth it cause this show cracks me up!
Eva Amurri is a great actress I love her in Saved but wow I had no idea how gorgeous she was, she's got like the perfect body now that she's putt on a little weight and Blond really is her color. Wonder if she'll be back for season 4?
My favorite character on the show is cokey smurf or Marcy Runkle played my Pamela Adlon. She has some of the best lines on the show and her story lines always crack me up! My favorite line of hers is "Well fuck my rusty sheriffs badge" right after her husband invests $100,000 in a porn movie. An did you know she's also the voice of Bobby Hill??? wtf this women is hilarious how on earth does she make that voice? She was also a voice of one of the twins in rugrats! I'm killing time till the next episode, I hope Hank gets over the over rated Karen and that his daughter goes back to her goth roots. Also Mia needs to get her ass kicked and jail could do hank some good I think!

Yummy Vegetarian Meals & Snacks

Spanakopita.

Ruffly translated means delicious spinach flavored crack! This is SO good words can not express how amazing it tastes. I'm not really big on spinach but this makes me love it. It's easy enough to make just time consuming with the pastry sheets, helps if you can have some one help you with that part. Great to eat hot or cold and easy to freeze and thaw so you can make a big batch and cut it up in pieces so it lasts a few meals. Green bean casserole my favorite holiday dish that I eat year round. I'm afraid I ate most of it before I remembered to take a picture. Easy, quick and delicious.Garlic and Scallion Roasted Potato's.

Another time consuming recipe that takes about 45 minutes prep time and 1 1/2 - 2 hours to cook but I make it so I have two layers of potato's (takes about 3lbs. of small potato's) so it's a really big batch you can eat for days. This is a pic of them before I put them in the oven. They are so good and I can easily just eat a bowl of them for dinner. So can my mom! They are really delicious.I love mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and scallions. Just clean them, cut them, saute them and eat. Good with rice, pasta, or I like to take a soft tortilla and sprinkle cheese on it, add the sauteed veggies and then flip it in half to make a cheese veggies quesadilla! One thing I eat all the time on my no meat days are tomato, green pepper and black olive sandwich's on a good bread with mayo. I love it and it reminds me of subway!

Okay those healthy choice meals are disgusting! So gross! But the veggie burgers are really good as long as I add my own seasonings and I usually make them with onion and mushroom or onion and green peppers. Alfalfa looks gross but it's actually really good with cream cheese, tomato and red onion on a bagel. You'll be surprised how good it tastes if you ever try it. An I haven't tried this kind of tofu yet but I got a recipe from a book I'm going to try tomorrow for a tofu teriyaki stir fry.

So I made my own herbed ricotta as you can see above I went for a spicy rosemarry, unfortunatly I kinda burned it a little in the oven so it wasn't as good as I hoped cause it was a little too firm but it was okay and I think next time if I just lightly bake it and have it with some pasta sauce it'll be even better. So those are some of my vegetariant meals and experiences. I'm really doing it and trying to go vegetarian, it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. It's even been kinda fun experimenting and trying new things. I'll keep posting about it as I go along. These are good vegetarian foods though. Let me know if anyone wants a recipe.

The Best Vegetarian Salad Ever!

As part of my plan to go vegetarian I have made a new food schedule for myself where I only eat meat every other day. So on my non-meat days I've been experimenting with vegetarian recipes.

This portabella mushroom salad that I make with a light homemade dressing is so freaking delicious I could eat it every single night! The only pain is pealing the fresh garlic cloves; it take a long time to peal a whole clove. I know that seems like a lot of garlic but when you saute it whole or in halves the garlic taste becomes really light and not at all overpowering. I got the idea for this recipe of off a vegetarian steak salad recipe using portabella mushroom caps and changed it up to fit my tastes. The sauteed cherry tomato's and feta cheese really make this salad to die for.

I can't be sure yet but I THINK that Eura will be my favorite character on the show. I love the spot I saw where she drew on every ones head (even her own) but I haven't seen much of her in the previews.This photo reminds me of at least 40 guys I've gone to school with since I was in like 6th grade. A we bit stereotypical but sometimes stereotypes are living breathing friends and neighbors.Tea looks to be the runner up for favorite character. The trailers make her seem like a lesbian Effy and even a little bit like Naomi from seasons 3 and 4. Cassie was my favorite character on the original skins and Caddie is clearly a Cassie knock off but she looks like she might be able to pull it off. I'm trying to remain as optimistic as possible about the us show which starts a week from today. The trailers seem all to staged and almost shot for shot remade after the original but supposedly only 2 or 3 episodes follow the UK versions storyline. We shall see but I am at least excited to get even a taste of the skins show I love back!

New Years Resolutions

*Learn To Drive.
I've been a perpetual passenger my whole life. This year I want to change that and get my license so I can finally drive a car... far, far away! *Take More Pictures.
I have hardly picked my camera up this year, just for the sake of taking random pictures. I miss going for walks and taking little adventures look for cool things worth taking pictures of.
*Become a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian.
This is going to be the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Partly because as I sit here writing this I'm munching on the best meat wontons you could ever dream of. I've been wanting to stop eating meat for about a year. I've decreased my meat intake by a least 10% (not much I know... like I said this is going to be hard!) and been experimenting weekly with vegetarian dishes. The problem is that I love meat and the Idea of giving up Chinese food and my cousins out of this world ham hock green beans is enough to make me cry. So you might wonder why go vegetarian then? Well it started with a book about becoming a vegetarian. It changed my views on meat, yea sure it tastes good but the way they raise and slaughter the animals and the drugs they give them combined with really becoming conscious of the fact I'm putting a previously living animals dead flesh in my body. I honestly don't believe humans were ever meant to eat meat! For those reasons I really am going to give 2011 my best effort to stop eating meat. I'm still going to eat dairy and eggs. An I know eggs could one day be baby chickens but I'm also pro choice and I'm choosing to believe they don't have souls yet! *Sleep Under The Stars.
It's all part of my quest to get more in touch with nature. I want go camping or at least sleep in the back of a truck and fall asleep with nothing between me and the stars!

I'm just sick of vodka and run and all clear liquor. So this one will be easy. Only brandy and whiskey for me from now on. *Sleep on a strangers couch.
I've never been one of those people that can sleep anywhere. I either have to be in my own bed or a place I've been a hundred times before in order to crash there. I want to know what all the fuss is about. *Write more personal letters.
I can't remember the last time I used a stamp! It seems so old fashioned now but I think it's a sweet gesture. *Read at least 72 books in 2011! *Find time to hold up cute and clever signs that make people smile & think. * I want to get a family tattoo.
Something unique to us all but with a similar theme. I also want about 3 other tattoos as well.
*I also want to write more short stories and maybe work on writing a book.
*Get back into putting my art up on deviant ART and start selling my work.
*Watch an entire movie with the commentary on!
*Volunteer somewhere.

Kanye is a brilliant artist no one can dispute that. However you can't watch a video like "monster" and come away thinking that he's not a monster, that he isn't embracing his dark side. Maybe he is just playing into all the Illuminati, nwo conspiracy theories but whatever the case may be he's still going to swallow up the music industry with his new album. That video is just a taste of the what we can expect from 2011 and the direction the worlds headed. I'm more shocked that Bon Iver contributed!
I'm not going to put up a link to that video cause I don't want it on my blog. I'm sick of seeing creative people in the music industry deliberately lead others down a dark path. I just don't get how having a bunch of dead girls hanging from the ceiling and slumped over furniture is sending a message that's NOT evil.
I've posted before about the Illuminati and nwo and other issues I have with the government and the music industry but at some point you have to realize that you can't show a picture to a blind man and then expect him to tell you what he sees. Not to say that every story about the Illuminati is true, in fact I believe most of them are false and spread around just to create confusion and create a controversy. It's the face of a farce created to distract people. If you open your eyes and take in everything you see then you know the world we live in right now is not the same world painted by the media and our government.

Black Swan Review

One movie I have been waiting very impatiently to see is Black Swan. An I'm so happy I got to watch it the other day. It's a really disturbing and enchanting movie that's more of a nightmare than a fairytale. I was so disturbed watching this movie that half way through it I was feeling some version of what the main character was feeling. This movie creeps under your skin and then works on tearing it's way out much like it does to Natalie's character Nina. The music is just as equally magnificent as everything else in the movie. It creates and moves along the energy of every scene. I don't want to give too much away or talk about the storyline cause I hope everyone sees this movie. Just be prepared to be effected by it. You won't be in the best mood afterword it stays with you awhile. Somehow this movie sucks you in and sits you right on the edge of madness that the movie revolves around. The whole cast was perfect, they all deserve praise for their parts in this movie but if Natalie Portman doesn't get an Oscar for this role it will be the BIGGEST insult to her. She was phenomenal!

Marion Bolognesi Makes Eyes So Pretty They Bleed!

Are you In Love yet? I was after I saw these pictures. I remember reading somewhere that females are more likely to be drawn to particular shapes like hearts, stars, circles and that they're prone to notice the lips and eyes first on a person and I think that's true. What I like about these watercolor paintings is that they seem so fantastically feminine with each painting reminding me of a runny flower or butterfly, like each photo is of a teary eyed girl running from a masquerade ball. But what I really see in these photos makes me wonder which part of these watercolors painting is the real mask. So beautiful and mysterious, Marion Bolognesi paints the masks we wear everyday that are constantly slipping and exploding with color. I love art! An she does kinda remind me of Joshua Petker my FAVORITE artist!

The LA Ink Cast Broke Up?

So I recently subscribed to netflix (which is awesome btw) and one show I've been dying to check out is LA Ink. I don't have cable, it's a waste of money cause I don't watch much TV and plusI already have the Internet. Anyway I hadn't seen a single episode I'd just herd other people praise the show and I'm fascinated with tattoos and would LOVE to one day become a tattoo apprentice so for all of these reasons I was really excited to see the the first season on DVD. I had no idea that there have already been like 3 or 4 seasons so far... damn I'm behind.
Anyway I'm 7 episodes in and I have to say I love the show it's really interesting and the tattoo work is amazing but I could care less about Kat Von d, her work is good but I just find her less interesting than Hannah, Corey and Kim. Those 3 make the show worth watching. Well preparing to blog about my new obsession I came across some articles that said that all 3 of them left the show after season two? What! That sucks I mean Corey is a legend and one of the best as everyone says but what made the show for me was having WOMEN tattoo artist on the show and both Hannah Aitchison and Kim Saigh are so fascinating and talented they are my new tattoo artist role models. I don't think I'll watch the show once they go. They need their own show or something because they really showcased what women tattoo artist are capable of in a male dominated industry. Not to totally hate on Kat Von D or anything I mean she did introduced a lot of people to those two amazing female artist and I love her for that because she did pick 3 of the best tattoo artist for her show. Unfortunately now that they're gone that sucks cause I don't think she's interesting enough to carry her own show about tattoo art. But I've still got like a season and a half to go to enjoy the show and see how it all goes down!

A few months ago, probably longer I came across a really cool photo like these of a girl who appeared to be flipping her hair back, it was all black, white and red. I remember loving that photo so much I printed it and added it to a collage of cool art and images that inspire me. I never knew who the artist was. Well after I saw these photos and read a little article that came with them It made me wonder if Russ Mills was the same artist, so I did a search and sure enough that photo I fell in love with a while back is by Russ Mills! I'm mesmerized and entranced by these photos that have a Rorschach inkblot feel to them in the blurred and frenzied movements created by Mills. Why? Why? Why? Why are they trying so hard? Real life is provocative, and the Skins UK show and at least with the first two seasons it was so good because it was so real. It wasn't trying so hard to be edgy and provocative. An the more I read about and see the MTV promotion for the US version the more turned off of it I get. This show will never live up to the original. So why do they think that instead of doing an original American spin on it and trying to make a good show it's better to just be raunchy and cheap and focus on the party side of the characters and not the real depth of the characters? Fucking American television! This last pic isn't so bad and I like the black and white style photos better then the ripped off look of the top photo from shoots with the second generation cast of girls!

Death is all around me these days. In flash backs and fast forwards. People I never knew and people I really did. So much of the world we live in and the flesh we live in is a mystery. We don't know what we are, where we came from or where were going. The whole human race is just a simple, violent, complicated and beautiful little ant farm. We call blue, blue because someone decided that's what it was for us. We've been fed lies and we feed them to others.

Death is so final, it might not be the end entirely for those that die. I'm 99.9% sure there is some kind of afterlife, but it is final for those left behind. We're still stuck in this little ant farm with all are little ant bullshit and we don't ever get to see the one we love again. In this life, in this body, we will never see them again. They are gone and lost to us. I could not live to turn 23 or I could live to be 90 years old and it won't change my version of forever. Forever is as far into the future as you can see. In a few hours I'll be going to my first funeral in four years, my third ever and I'm watching someone close to me plan a 4Th. I don't understand why. I don't believe people die so we can appreciate life, because death makes life less appreciable. It makes it weaker and harder and emptier. All life is divided between good days that go too fast and bad days that go too slow. I don't know where today will take me or how I'll feel 10 minutes from now but I know some of my loved ones are dead and the rest of us are all next. How do you like them apples?

Two recent incidence involving my blog have brought my attention to something that maybe wasn't crystal clear in some of my previous posts. My main focus with this blog is to share my interest and fascination with all forms of art. In some of my earlier posts I would just post one photo or a series of photos that I found online and I would title that post with whatever the art brought to my mind and I often times didn't know who the artist of these photos were and I wouldn't go to great lengths to find out. I still do posts like this where I'll do a search for photos where I have a theme in mind like say skull graffiti and then I put all my favorite pictures on my blog to share with whoever reads it.

I have never claimed to own any photos or artwork that I did not make myself.

I am an artist but I rarely post my own artwork on this blog and every time I have, I've stated very clearly that it was my work. So everytime I post pictures of art and I don't say "this is my work" then it's not my work! I chose to use this blog to share art that inspires me & If I discover an artist that I particularly love I will post links to their website and links to other blogs that show their work. I don't do this with every photo I post because most photos online are not listed by the person who took them or created them.

So just to make sure it is now crystal clear most the art shown on this blog is NOT mine. It is art by various artist that I like and admire. I mention the artist of said artwork when I know who the artist is. When I do post my own art on this blog I mention in the post that It's my work.

Perfect Movies For Halloween

This is a little list I've comprised of some of what I think are the scariest & most suspenseful or even hilarious, Halloween appropriate movies that I would watch and recommend for this time of year!I'm some what of a movie buff like most people but one thing I'm not is a horror movie buff. For a few reasons... #1 most "scary" movies I see are in fact really dumb, so dumb that I have to add commentary and break the movie down to everyone else to help them realize that it is in fact a comedy. #2 I don't like any movie with the word exorcist in the title or anywhere in the description this cuts out a fair chunk of horror movies new and old. #3 I don't like gore or lots of blood. It's not so much the ick factor because I know it's not real and it hardly ever even looks real in movies but I find that what you don't see if done right is even more scary. #4 I'm just more of a drama or black comedy fan when it comes to movies.

None the less I think there is something on this list for everyone and I recommend that everyone gets the chance to see every movie on this list at least once!

Goodbye Limewire

Yesterday was a very, very sad day for me. My Limewire program refused to load and let me download any music! Say what you will about it being illegal and wha wha whatever but I'm freaking poor and with all the music I love and listen to it would be Impossible for me to buy even 1/4 of the artists I adore Cd's. Not to mention that a lot of the music I listen to I discovered online on websites where the artist usually will let you download a few songs or even a mini album for free! Artist use the Internet to get people to hear about them and listen to their music... the consequence of that is people hear that music for free. I'm on the hunt for a new program that will let me download music for free cause I'm not going back to the times in the mid 90's when I recorded the songs I liked off the radio onto a cassette player, that's whack y'all!

Not everyone has as much love for Wednesday Addams as I do but she's my first choice for a Halloween costume this year. I've seen a lot of people dressed as her online that look more like pilgrims than a Gothic homicidal tween.

Tips to pull off Wednesday Addams Halloween Costume:

#1: Black pig tales (obviously) maybe use some sort of skull hair tie on the ends. #2: Gothic inspired black dress with wide sleeves (the white collar on the dress is not the only way to look like Wednesday Addams... see top photo!) #3: Black Lace Tights. Even if you have a long dress it works and are a nice, sexy detail that really add to the look. #4: Black Boots. What can I say Wednesday looks like a combat boots kind of girl and high heels are not gonna cut it. #5: Pale skin with simple black eyeliner mascara for make up nothing too over the top and NO red lips!!!! #6: Carry around a doll (not a barbie) that's missing it's head... or even just the head.

My First Wine Tasting

Last night I went to my first wine tasting at Ludlow Wines "in the heart of the Historic Clifton Gaslight District" and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm about to turn 22 next month and before last night I'd never had a glass of wine. I can remember a handful of times when I was younger when my mother kept a box of wine in the fridge and I'd tilt my head under the nozzle to try it. I never liked it, in fact I hated it but I was a child and the nozzle looked like fun! I don't know if that influenced me or not as I got older but needless to say if someone offered me wine I'd turn it down in favor of rum, vodka or some mixed drink.

My opinion of wine has certainly changed at least now I know that I can in fact enjoy the taste of wine. I went with my mother to the wine tasting and we each tried two glasses of white wine and two glasses of red. Over all I preferred the white wine and even purchased a bottle of Vin Fou (we were told it means "crazy wine") which was the first white wine we tried and our favorite of the night.

I'm definitely going again, the owners where very friendly and the atmosphere was really pleasant with lots of other people there and good conversation flowing through out the room. It made me feel like a grown up! I'd suggest for other people that know little to nothing about wine or even those who think they know everything about it to go to a wine tasting near them and expand your knowledge and taste buds at the very least you'll get to try something new and have a good a time.

Someone deserves a bonus and it's not the cast! I love LOVE the fact that they're making fun of the themselves an all the haters that wer against Mtv getting their reality tv hands on one of the most AMAZING teen shows ever and possibly butchering. I still have my resurvations about the show and I was not very imressed with the trailer they released. It seemed to much like the first season and I don't think show is going to work if they try to mimic the first season cause it CAN'T live up to it. It could however keep the vibe and edgy realistic storylines and just make it their own. I have hope for the show now. But I'm more excited for the 5th season of the original Skins and to see their new cast!

High waisted skinny jeans... I've never seen anyone look good in these pants! They're unattractive and unflattering on even the slimmest of figures.Now a little natural rip in your jeans can look cool in a natural grunge way but one look I started seeing everywhere this past summer was shredded and ripped jeans and tops. Now I've seen more than a few tops and dresses that don't look trashy or tacky at all but for some reason I hate the ripped pants and leggings I think that they do look trashy and cheap no matter what some of them cost.
When did having a tattoo become a trend? I remember growing up having a tattoo was scandalous but for some reason the last 5 years or so it seems everyone has one now, which is awesome I love tattoo art but I've seen way too many people with the shh... tattoo and even the mustache finger tattoo. For one thing I think getting a tattoo should mean something to the person getting it and 2nd getting the same tattoo as thousands of other people just cause celebrities get it is LAME!Personalized jewelry with your name on it... can't stand it.

I for one really like Taylor Momsen's band The Pretty Reckless and her grungy baby doll style but for all the fans there are an equally amount of hatters. Those like Perez Hilton... who have called her a prostitot and other nasty names fail to realize just how normal her behavior is when it comes to young girls growing up in the music industry. Seeing her on the cover of Revolver I could already hear the backlash of people sharpening their claws to rip her a new asshole on how she should and shouldn't dress/act. So take a look at Britney spears before she was legal on the cover of a magazine:
So I ask you is she really being so inappropriate? I know even Britney Spears received some back lash for this cover but she was also extremely popular and at the top of the charts when this came out. She wasn't being called a baby prostitute and worse! An Taylor Momsen isn't even showing as much skin or being as sexually suggestive. I think the real problem people are having is that she is not trying to be a pop star if she was I doubt she'd be getting as much backlash. It's acceptable and even standard really for pop singers to exploit their sexuality and show lots of skin but for someone who's music is more rock and roll and who's style is darker they're more offended. I wonder why that is?

Perez Doesn't Wanna Be A Bully Anymore

You know I actually give him a lot of credit for this! Despite Perez being a champion for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth and encouraging people to stop bullying and be strong and have hope for things to get better, he failed to realize that he himself was a bully. Perez finally addressed all of this in a very honest and humble video today on his blog where he admits that he didn't see himself as a bully though he realizes now that his words came across strongly that way in thousands of posts. I actually have some respect for him now that I understand a little more why he was so judgemental and mean on his blog and the fact he is going to try to tone down his at times extremely vicious opinions of celebrities is more than anyone probably imagined he would do. Everyone has both felt the sting of being bullied by others and also the shame in bullying someone else. Everyone is guilty of being a victim and villain at one point or another in their lives. An we all need to try a little harder to follow the golden rule of treating others how we want to be treated. Props to Perez for being brave and humble enough to try and set a more positive example!

Easily this is my favorite new show! I don't watch a lot of TV and what little I do watch is usually online but I make time for this show! It's on Tuesdays at 9pm and it's hilarious. It's like My name is Earl only everyone is a little bit smarter and better looking. They're lower middle class dreamers trying to raise a baby with sarcasm and flash backs. It's already been renewed and given a full 22 episode season. Love it!

You've Got The Love - I've Had The Love

Florence & The Machine has been my favorite band ever since I heard the track Dog Days Are Over on an episode of Skins a few years ago. Their songs still make their way onto my mix Cd's and playlist even after I've heard them thousands of times. The real magic in the machine comes from the heavenly hellish lyrics that make for some amazing poetry. Florence's voice is harsh and violent but mixed with the lyrics and music the songs become smooth and pleasantly tormented. The #1 album I most look forward to is their sophomore album that I've been waiting on for what seems like forever.
What I can't help being frustrated about though is their most recent adventures with tacky pop culture events. The MTV awards was shameful enough but Dancing w/the Stars? Really??? It's like your favorite book that no one you know has read that suddenly gets made into a movie and now everyone is carrying around a copy. It's the green eyed monster meets the elephant in the room. It's not so much that their fans are growing and more people are being swallowed up by their brilliant music, it's that something so special and unique is mixing with generic, flavor of the month trends. It's just not right! I want the band to get all the credit it deserves I just like them standing alone in the sparkling shadows then bundled with everyone else. The one pop culture cross over they did that I LOVED was the song Heavy In Your Arms they did for the Twilight movie Eclipse, because not only did it get them to release new material but the song was amazing and stayed true to their aesthetic. The possible vibe of their next album scares me because I'm so hopelessly attached to Lungs. As devoted and hopefully as I try to be that their creativity and uniqueness will pull through whatever waves of fame and pop culture influence that has come their way, for the new album. I still see Lungs as being the rare untainted voice that transcends love and death and is simply unique in it's sound and energy that will be hard to match let alone surpass!!! I eagerly wait for more Florence & The Machine music!

New Cast Of Skins

Well folks here they are! I know skins fans are opinionated and loyal but most the fan comments on e4 have been bashing the second generation with little hope for the third. I along with a good deal of other Skins fans have confidence and hope in the show that is as known for reinventing it's self as it is for it's controversial story lines. I love this show and like everyone else I was sad to see the first generation replaced but I grew to love the second generation and I know the third generation and the next two seasons to come will be just as interesting and entertaining. This time around the cast has a totally different look and vibe I'm excited to see them all in character on screen! This is my totally superficial guess at who I think will be the most interesting characters :) I'll update when the show stars to see if my estimations are correct.
Beautiful hipster tomboy... I wonder what her issues will be?He could be a loyal best friend with a wishy washy sexuality or a tortured trouble maker! She could be a goody goody or the wild child...

One thing is for sure, I'll be watching!

True Blood Sucks

I've been a fan of this show since I learned that Alan Ball was behind it and the first two seasons which stuck strongly to the storyline of the Charlaine Harris novels were exciting and entertaining but as a whole I think season 3 sucked! It was lack luster and boring compared to season two. The third season strayed from the third Charlaine Harris book to such a disappointing degree that they royal screwed themselves out of a great storyline that spread through the rest of the series. Vampire Jessica was hardly around and when she was her storyline was typical and predictable. Sam evolved from the dependable good guy to a real asshole with a killer past. Eric had some of the best moments this season but his ever changing hairstyle is distracting and conflicts with things they've said about vampires. His hair was long then short now it's short and nearly brown. Jason is the one character they just won't let us figure out because they keep throwing him into crazy situations where he reacts differently almost like he's got a multiple personality disorder! As for Sookie what happened to the polite and proper girl we saw in season one? With her ever growing bad attitude and new found love of curse words they put her over the edge by dumping Russel's lovers melted insides down the drain and thenhaving her laugh a hauntingly evil laugh that made me wonder how much farther down this road the writers are going to take her. Don't even get me started on the weak and forgive my using the term "retarded" way they are portraying her Fae heritage. The best actor coming out of this show by far is the actress Tara played by Rutina Wesly. She has been the silver lining through out the whole season and the one character the writers have evolved and even tortured in a way I can appreciate and enjoy watching. She is one hell of an actress that deserves an Emmy for this season. I was however heartbroken to see her cut all that beautiful hair off before she left town in the finale. Overall season 3 is not one I'll be watching again on dvd. I'll tune into season 4 out of curiosity and hope that it'll be better. Also the fact Sookie now knows the truth about Bill I'm really looking forward to season Eric and Sookie's relationship heat up! This season needed more Evan Rachel Wood!!! She's great as the vicious and sometimes vulnerable Queen Sophie Ann. An just to beat this old drum one more time I hate seeing Anna Paquin with blond hair! She was just so much prettier as a brunette and I don't think I'll ever really like her blond it just doesn't suit her!

Memoir Of A Runaway

I just finished Neon Angel and I have to say it's the most interesting and oddly relate able memoir I've ever read! My other favorite memoirs include Prozac Nation which I was deeply obsessed with in high school and Running With Scissors. All of which have been adapted into movies!
At first Cherie Currie's memoir reads like a crash course on how to become a rock star. She's a unique and sensitive soul, tortured just enough by her parents separation and eventual divorce to evolve from a wallflower to a David bowie obsessed outcast. After being sexual abused by her twin sisters boyfriend at the age of 15 Cherie finds ways of expressing herself while hiding herself at the same time. She dons a mask of confidence complete with red, white and blue hair and takes control of the negative energy people are giving her and shoves it right down their throats with a -if you think I'm weird... I'll show you weird- attitude. It works and soon she's goes from queen of the odd balls to a sort of local trend setter. It's during this time she get approached by Kim Foley to audition for lead singer of his new band The Runaways. That part is history she makes the band and bonds with Joan and Sandy while clashing with Lita. The road leading up to their fame is bumpy and filled with dozens of drug addled and misguided adventures every teen faces, rock star or not. As well as shocking manipulations these girls faced and accepted at such a young age as the price you must pay to be in a successful band.So much goes on in this book that covers their first, second and final tour in Japan. One thing missing from the book is the strong bond Cherie says to have shared with Joan that is never really explained. Little comments about how Joan could always take her out of a depressive spell if just for a moment with a smile or a joke but nothing that really makes the reader understand it. It's almost completely over looked in the book which is odd because in the movie it plays a pretty major part in the bands dynamic as well as Cherie's life. I can only think that she wanted to keep those details private... but then other sad and horrible details pertaining to her sexual abuse and abortion where left in the book which suggests that maybe she left out the true nature and bond of the relationship she shared with Joan per Joan's own request. Either Way this book is so good and I wish I could give my opinion of every detail of this book and describe all the thing I took away from it. As you progress through Cherie's memoir it becomes less about the life of a rock star and more about her struggle with drugs and alcohol. Fueled by many things but mostly her inner demons from her childhood, her regrets about the band and her tangled family relationships. I've learned so much about her that I never knew and while I didn't feel pity for her I did feel a sense of protection. Cherie reminds me of a long time friend of mine. Someone often called a drama queen for her always emotional reactions. She feels so deeply and every pain she experiences is like a physical cut across her heart. Not everyone can understand how much emotions can control a persons life. Cherie is one of those people that I feel are so sensitive and tortured that they have adapted to waring armor of some kind, armor made of drugs, alcohol, art, hate, sex... anything, as a way of protecting and disconnecting themselves, that also lets them feel in control while being out of control. Idk maybe I'm way off. Anyway... so much is detailed in this book about Cherie's life before, during and after her experience with the Runaways but it cuts off rather abruptly at the age of 24 once she has cleaned up her act and become a drug counselor. She had so much talent and potential that I think everyone around her took a piece of her for themselves thinking she had enough to spare when really they ended up taring her apart. The good news is she rebuilt herself over and over again from singer to actress, to drug counselor to personal trainer, to chainsaw artist, to author... she's had quite a life and I encourage you all to read her memoir. I can't believe how much I've written and how much I still want to say but I'll leave on a good note:

Look at her now! Wow. Her and Joan both have only gotten better looking with age! They still seem to have the same look though, Joan all dark and edgy and Cherie is like glam tomboy. :)

Movies About Mind Controll and Project MKULTRA

Conspiracy Theory is about as blatant and in your face about what the MKULTRA project was and is. A very good movie, some funny moments with a kinda boring and cookie cutter ending but the storyline and specifically a lot of things Gibson's character mentions in the first half of the movie are all based on facts. I guess it's purpose was to either rub it in our face that it's going on or to make it seem like fiction so it would seem less believable or both.I've yet to see the original Manchurian Candidate but I plan to especially since I've read reports that suggest Frank Sinatra was a controller and in this movie he plays the part of a mind controlled victim. The new version is pretty damn good though and disturbing. It's a movie that only hits the tip of the ice burg about who's behind all of it but it's a must see. Still it's another movie that tries to fictionalize these issues and it has cookie cutter ending as well. V for Vendetta is about a lot issues we are facing right now even if some are less apparent and in your face as they are in the movie. I like this movie for showing the control these groups of controllers have over not just the government but the media. The news is patrolled and people who think everything on CNN or where ever is accurate and up to date are ill informed. Who do you think owns all these big media companies? They tell people what they want them to know. Also the mind controlling techniques & torture & experimentation that V experiences is all to familiar to things I've read about MK-ULTRA survivors.Now I'm not suggesting that this movie is 100% true, I think one thing that the controllers are good at is putting a lot of misinformation out to confuse people that read between the lines. But I think the whole Buy, Consume, Obey mind controlling and brain washing that goes on in advertising is right on the money! Also anyone who isn't at least open to the possibility that aliens, star beings, people that aren't human exist is in serious denial. I also believe that aliens are on this planet in the form of shape shifters or connected through royal bloodlines that have a different DNA pattern as well as ulterior motives and plans for our plant. It's a good more it more ways than one. It's scary in a real life way but also very comical in the way the aliens look. Worth your time for sure!Who hasn't seen or hear or read A Clockwork Orange? Obviously mind controlled is used to try and :cure" his bad behavior in the movie but I find the underlying implications to reveal he was a programed controller who's vicious and evil ways got too out of hand and needed some extra re-programing. This movie points out that while all humans are both mixed with good and bad qualities and tendencies so possibly are aliens and beings from other places in the universe. Brain washing is a pretty big theme in a lot of Hollywood movies! The Matrix, everyone has seen it by now and while I don't believe we are all in a computerized life game, I do think that it's possible beings and entities on higher levels and frequencies can influence the matrix of this planet and our universe in ways we can't understand. Consciousness is what drives this planet and I don't it's all entirely human.Now this movie is awful. Like really, really bad but it holds a lot of Miss-directed truths. Brainwashing people through music, mind controlling mass amounts of people to buy buy buy and stay up on what's in and popular. Good message in a bad movie.

Fantastic Planet is not necessarily about mind control or brain washing it does however tell a very unique tale on how the human race came to be so evolved and I find the ancient pyramids and monuments that are so large and that we're still very baffled to how they were created using sticks and stones basically to be very interesting. I've always had the notion... what if they were built to scale for their time. What if back in those times Giants or beings much much larger than we are now ruled the planet back then and built these statues and pyramids to a size proportional to them... after all in all these monuments and even cave drawings from 1000's of years ago they show really tall people standing next to small people. That tells me we have a lot to learn about our planets history as well as the our species history!

Toilet Waterfall Wall = Art???

Now I'm all for thinking outside your creative sandbox and recycling household and everyday items and making art with them is awesome but recycling toilets? Even using new toilets for art... or artsy-ish projects seems a little... dirty?!? It's an interesting idea in theory but in real life a toilet waterfall induces more cringes than ohhs and ahhs.
One thing is for sure if they want to keep this wall art clean they're going to need an awful lot of scrub brushes and bleach.. unless they think the natural erosion will add to it's uhh... toiletry ness.

This is by far the best picture I've seen from the Emmy's/after parties! I love True Blood and least anyone forget the extremely entertaining Charlaine Harris books the show is based on and I've always thought Anna Paquin was just adorably quirky and cute but I really hate her as a blond, I know Sookie Stackhouse is a blond and all and Anna plays a perfect Sookie but she looks so much better as a brunette!!!

An even though her gold metallic studded dress was on a lot of worst dressed lists I actually really like it. She took a risk and went kinda glam warrior. I love it! Kelly Osbourne was the best dressed at the Emmy's in my opinion. I love both of her dresses, I love how even though she's lost some weight she's still playing up her curves and she looked adorable and beautiful in the black and white dresses.
Kim K and her botox face looked classy and elegant from the chin down, but Kelly steals the picture! She looks so good as a blond.Yay!!! Jim Parsons won an Emmy for being so super awesome on The Big Bang Theory... that is moving to Thursday nights! I love the show and it's in LARGE part to Sheldon Cooper!!!!! Congrats.

Searching For The Constellations

A lot of great music has been filling my ears lately and this one band hasn't been filling my ears enough! Partly because their album which is apparently already out has been a pain in the ass to find. I don't mess with itunes I like Cd's! But the 5 songs I've listened from them are weird, wonderful and brilliant. I missed the last concert they played at the mad hatter in convingtion KY and today I noticed on their website they're not selling tickets to their next gig there which is for later this month. I don't know it they're sold out or not for sale yet but I'm on a mission to find out. If all else fails I'll be taking a drive up to Cleveland to see them! I also really like the wacky photos of the band some are cool other are crazy but in a good way. I wonder who photographs them? The lead singer is really hot to he has that johnny depp quality where he can look kinda dirty and unkempt but still be sexy! The entire band is pretty good looking even the big dude with the fro in a quirky way, but the music is what makes them so check them out!
